Acupressure Your Way To A Good Night’s Sleep

Difficulty falling asleep is very frustrating. Traditional Chinese Medicine provides an explanation and solution. It’s based in the natural flow of the day and night. Day energies are aggressive, known as yang. Nighttime energies are receptive, or yin. During daytime hours vital energy flows through the physical body in ways that energize, allowing us to complete tasks, interact with family, friends and co-workers. As the sun begins to set, energies naturally calm and transition from aggressive or yang should move toward receptive or yin energy.

Blockages in the flow of energy in the body may prevent this transition. When this occurs it becomes difficult to sleep. There are many reasons why this might exist, an imbalance in energies of the spleen, heart and kidney or just an overall decrease in yin energy throughout.

There are some specific points in the body that can stimulate inward movement of energy, allowing rest.
