Ellen's love affair
with health comes from a desire to feel and look as
good as a person can, at any age. As a Gerontologist,
someone committed to the concept of quality and healthy
aging, I believe that flexibility and compassion are
a must.
No two bodies are the same, and often the "have-to's" and "shoulds" of nutrition must bow to situation and circumstance. In other words: "stay flexible!" Understanding the simple guidelines of good health, plus reminders from a good wellness coach, are usually enough to give people the courage to re-align themselves with their own center point to make better choices.
Good
health isn't found only on the physical level. The term
"thought is creative" is the key when it comes
to the healing art of the body, and there are many techniques
to create paradigm shifts for greater health.
Ellen's expertise as an Iridologist is also a key to understanding each individual body and it's certain needs at that time. She also uses quantum Reflex Analysis to ensure foods and supplementation strengthen rather than weaken a body.
Ellen empowers people to learn to tune in to their own body, and believes that no person should feel obligated or tied to their coach for any reason other than the person's wanting support.
Which comes first, positive thoughts or good health? Conversely, does negative thinking precede disease in the body, or does being out of balance cause stinkin' thinkin' ? It could be hard to say when both are in full bloom; however the thinking always precedes the action, condition, or outcome.
Signs of Imbalance
The same perplexing
questions arise when we don't feel our best; perhaps
we notice our digestion is not very good; then, our
sleep cycles are interrupted; and our eliminations are
off. Does all of the above happen because we aren't
well? In this case, all of the above occurs because
digestion, assimilation is not optimal. Either we're
not eating correctly, or our digestive juices are low
and need our immediate attention. The body system may
become acidic. At that point the system itself has potential
to cultivate disease; and left unchecked, disease will
brew itself up according to genetic background and the
individual proclivity to illness.
Whether a person notices them or not, there are always signs, or symptoms to tell us the body is becoming out of balance. As the observer of the body we all have that ability to make necessary changes. As it happens many lifestyles, especially in America, leave little time and less encouragement for downtime and health assessment.
Creative Thought
All stressors:
including worry and hurry, stemming from subconscious
thoughts of not enough, cause acidic conditions in the
body, taxing the digestive system, depleting the source
of nourishment to tissues and organs. Simply put, diseases
stem from thoughts run amuck. And as worry, hurry, low
self-worth, feelings of not enough, and a host of other
stressors build, they steal energy needed by the body
to digest, to rest, to eliminate, to heal. At that point
it is not possible to think clearly, or reach out and
communicate effectively. Yes, negative thinking precedes
any illness, and poor assimilation and improper elimination
are fueled by negative thoughts and create a perfect
environment for disease. No wonder then, it seems like
a lot of bad things happen at one time.
Infinite Intelligence
What
to do if you're caught in the cycle of stress, bad assimilation
and disease? First of all begin to relax. It may be
the hardest thing of all to begin with; yet, it is imperative.
Remember that the Universal Intelligence that helped
your body to form in your mothers womb still keeps your
heart beating and your breath active at night. It most
certainly knows how to heal your body. Keep in mind
that body cells replace themselves every seven years,
every year, every three months, and some every day.
So expect good health!
Relaxing is your first step toward better health because in that relaxed state you move out of the way of Universal Intelligence; in other words, you give the higher part of you a chance to work by stopping the smaller part of you from getting in the way. The doer becomes the BEING.
The
Breathing BodyMeditation:
Take three deep breaths, no holding. Simply breathe from the lower stomach all the way up to the crown and then drop the breath completely. Feel your shoulders drop, your neck relax, and your mind vacation from any thought at all.
Now inhale and tighten your shoulders, neck and face. Exhale. Relax. Repeat that two more times.
Take three more deep and relaxing breaths.
Allow your chin to drop to your chest, breathe and let go. Let your head drop over to your left shoulder. Massage the right side of your neck. Breathe and let go. Allow your head to drop to your right shoulder. Massage the left side of your neck. Breathe and let go.
Take three more relaxing breaths.
If you can stand do so. If you must stay sitting just scoot a bit forward in your seat so that you remain in a secure position, and do the following. Take a deep breath, extend arms up to the ceiling and bend forward at the waist. Allow your shoulders and arms to dangle toward the floor. Take another deep breath and come back up slowly as you release the breath. Repeat this motion two more times.
Sitting or standing, inhale and tighten your thighs and buttocks, calves and feet to toes. Exhale. Relax. Repeat this two more times remembering to release muscles and exhale at the same time, and to FEEL the feelings of relaxation each time.
Now sitting again follow your breath in and out, realize that the Breath is your umbilical cord to the Divine. It is the first task you learned when you were born. It connects you to Source while you're here on earth, and it will be your final act when you transition.
Allow
your
mind to be still for
one minute, two minutes, and
then three minutes if you can. Practice this every day
and increase your comfort with who you are. Increase
your ending meditation and appreciation of breathing
time as long as you can. Take an hour if you can! Still
the mind and simply feel the luxuriousness of who YOU
are in a body. Enjoy the feelings of simply breathing
in and out. You are a special BEING!
Easy Steps to Physical Wellness
Next
take definite steps to assist your body with the material
things it needs to regain good digestion. Replace fast
food with healthy foods from home. Eat more fresh fruits
and lightly cooked vegetables. Dairy consumption isn't
necessary and usually causes mucous in the body. Cut
back on meat consumption; let go of red meats altogether.
Drink lots of pure water. Find a good digestive enzyme
and probiotic to give your body the extra help it needs.
Eliminating
toxins is a crucial part of the body's healing process.
Certain historically used herbs like Cascara Sagrada,
prepared properly, along with good fiber is sure to
help your digestion with this part of its work. Drinking
pure water assists the kidneys in their role in balancing
the body, and in elimination. Dry Skin Brushing before
bathing assists circulation, the lymphatic system, and

process. Exercise like dance, yoga, aerobics, rowing,
swimming, or whatever FEELS FUN to you, keeps the body
toned and eliminating properly.
