Ah! So the Economy is asking us to be Conscious.

Are you wondering about money? Are you thinking about looking at your spending? Must you stop eating fast food, or pre-packaged foods to save a bit of cash? Good!

Hey! Everything is cyclical, and for our highest good. Having to stop and look at how things are being done is always beneficial. It is the beginning to consciousness and change for the best.

Money, prosperity is endless, just like the possibilities that come from change. How does a change in the economy help us as families to look at eating habits, how we can be better friends of the earth's environment — our environment, and how we can connect more lovingly and consciously with each other?

Keep It Simple!

Every person is the same in so many ways. People have most of the same fears, challenges, acquire many of the same diseases and no matter how much money, have many of the very same money problems. Interesting!

For simplicity sake here we are focusing on food. How do you stay healthy and still cut back on spending?

  1. Your money is best spent on fresh and organic. That may sound pricey but not in the long run.
  2. Let go of pre-packaged or frozen foods.
  3. Buy a good water filter — I suggest Nikken (my favorite) and forget about bottled water. Those bottles only end up in a land fill and cost you mega-bucks in a year's time. Bottle your own water!
  4. A simple and fresh diet is best.
  5. Use flavorful ways to keep children pacified, without compromising kid's diets with nitrate laden, sugared or fatty non-nutritional foods

Let's target this letter to the afore-mentioned:

  1. Always spend money wisely, especially when it comes to your own special body and that of your families. Sustainable agriculture will disappear unless citizens claim their right to eat pesticide-free, non-contaminated foods. Foods that are genetically reproduced mess with human ability to have genetically reproducible genes. And that is a whole other newsletter.

Whole and organic foods give you a longer and healthier life; ergo, costing less in medical emergencies. Fresh whole foods lend minerals and necessary enzymes for digestion, the body's #1 responsibility. They ease the body's nervous system because of the above mentioned, help the body to use properly its calcium supply, aid in the digestion of proteins.

The list of pluses is never ending. In brief, your body would have all capability to produce all of the chemicals (hormones, amino building blocks for proteins, etc.) and be totally self-sufficient if you could ease it into eating fresh, organic whole foods. Life would be better, creativity higher, sex better, children happier — more their natural selves. Wow! I'm getting high just writing about it!

  2. Pre-packaged foods cost a lot of money. No matter what company produces them, they have extra sodium (not the natural good kind) and other preservatives. It is not fresh food. It will not engender healing or longevity. You may lose weight because it has been scientifically reduced to a series of grams of fat and modified to work as a unit. It is not healthy!

  3. Water is our most precious commodity. Actually, though most people would rather die than miss a meal, persons can live on very little food if it is healthy. The body always requires water to replenish all those sweet body fluids. Bottled water is expensive and deadly to the environment. All of those plastic bottles are ruining the earth for your legacy.

A good water system comes with an original investment; then, you save money forever. Purify your own water; then, buy the correct, heavy and colored plastic, re-usable bottles, re-fill and enjoy your enterprising spirit. Save money and get healthy. Teach your children and grandchildren to respect our water supply, the earth and their bodies.

  4. Simplicity is always the rule. It is how peoples of greatest longevity and superior health sustain their cultures. We are very blessed with access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Organic counters are ripe with luscious choices and phyto-nutrient rich foods. Many stores: CO-Ops and Whole Food types will always allow people to "glean" 2nd day produce if available. This, of course is at the discretion of each store.

Your day should begin with fruit. Fruits should not be combined with any other food. Melons are meant to be eaten alone. Sour fruits can be eaten with other sour fruit; sweet fruit with other sweet fruits.

When eaten in this manner fruit moves through the body properly, leaving the stomach in thirty minutes or so.

Vegetables should be the major part of our diet, flavored, or tempered with portions of protein.

Vegetables can be eaten with carbohydrates, such as rice, organic pastas, potatoes or breads.

Eaten by themselves, fruit like apples, bananas, oranges and grapes make wonderful and nutritious snacks.

Vegetables, fresh salads with a mixed variety of veggies give us the right minerals and enzymes to digest our entire meal. They are the least expensive of all foods, and are an irreplaceable resource for the aliveness required for cell regeneration.

  5. When you have children to appease, keep on hand easy to eat vegetables: carrots, celery (with cream cheese or organic peanut butter if you must) bananas, apple slices.

One of my favorite child munchies: 3-4 cups of oatmeal, raisins (maybe organic chocolate chips), dried cherries, or berries, organic brown sugar, or honey. You can add coconut or some type of nut (almonds are compatible for most body types) but this depends on the age and chewing ability of the child. Make sure the honey permeates the mixture and that the mixture is "spreadable". If necessary a slight amount of almond oil can be used in desert-type mixtures of this sort as it leaves no heavy after taste.

(If your child or anyone in your family has issues with candida yeast overgrowth, liver failure, diabetes, or low blood sugar, use your own discretion. The above mentioned recipe is merely a suggestion)

Let your children help in the mixing of this concoction; it will enhance your together time and their appreciation of their own health. It will make them happy that they can make food that is fun and healthy.

Spread this in a glass, almond-oiled pan and bake on a low heat (275 degrees) mid oven for forty minutes or so. Let it set to cool and you can break it up for granola or cookie-like snacks for kids.

Watch any outside and costly snacks that will over sugar or table salt your children. Many prepackaged foods inundate children to overload with MSG, poor quality sodium, nitrates and killer sweeteners. Most children misdiagnosed and medicated for ADHD are fed a bad diet, an unconscious diet. It is ruining many children, breeding a generation of misunderstood adults.

Overspending, unconscious buying or eating is an out-of-body experience. You can allow yourself to have without overdoing anything. Live consciously every moment and leave that as your legacy.
